### Will WaterGuard work with my cistern?

Yes – as long as there is a cable route from the cistern into the house (e.g. an empty conduit). The sensor hangs straight down inside the cistern, while the WaterGuard controller must be installed in a weather-protected location. The myCistern app comes pre-loaded with tanks from established manufacturers including Graf, Garantia, 4Rain, Roth and Geratec. And no worries if yours isn't listed: any tank can be configured manually from its dimensions – even if you don't know which model you have.

### How long is the sensor cable?

The included sensor cable is 20 metres long, which is sufficient for most installation scenarios. If that's ever not enough, you can extend the data cable up to 100 metres using our plug-and-play extension cables, available in 20 m and 50 m units.

### What happens in a power cut?

WaterGuard keeps its configuration and restarts automatically after a power cut. All settings are preserved. Connected solenoid valves (WaterGuard Refill only) close de-energised.

### Can I unlock Refill features on my WaterGuard Level later on?

No. WaterGuard Refill uses different electronics, including switching outputs that WaterGuard Level doesn't have. If you want to move from Level to Refill, you can keep the data cable and sensor – only the controller needs to be swapped.

### Which valves can I switch with WaterGuard Refill?

WaterGuard Refill has two switching outputs, each 24 V DC at up to 0.5 A. That's designed to switch myCistern's genuine accessories, such as the refill unit or the filter backwash unit.

### What measurement accuracy can I expect from WaterGuard?

Our pressure capsule measures the fill level in the cistern with an accuracy of around 1 cm.

### What happens to my data?

Our privacy policy explains how device and account data are processed for the platform and apps. It also covers sensor data, anonymisation for product improvement and training locally hosted models, and your privacy rights. Separate information on the same page applies to visits to this website and its optional usage analytics.

### What applications is WaterGuard suited for?

WaterGuard is designed for measuring the fill level in containers holding clear water.

### What options are there to adapt WaterGuard to our brand?

We offer two OEM options:

Option 1: The logo on the device, the manual and the packaging are adapted to your brand.

Option 2: On top of the Option 1 customisations, the app and the web dashboard are also designed to your CI guidelines – including name, logo, colours and fonts.

Further customisations and integration requirements are agreed with you individually.

### Can we order a test device in advance?

Yes, you can order a test device on request. You will receive a standard myCistern version that lets you get to know the product before an OEM order and test it in your application.

### What minimum order quantity and lead times apply for OEM partners?

The minimum order quantity is 100 units. Lead time depends on the order quantity or the agreed framework-contract volume and is coordinated with you individually.

### In which countries is WaterGuard available?

WaterGuard is initially available in Germany and Austria. Deliveries to other EU countries require explicit approval of the respective region and are agreed individually with the OEM partner. The power supply suitable for the approved destination country is included.

### Can existing installations be retrofitted with WaterGuard?

Yes, WaterGuard can also be retrofitted into existing installations.

### Can measurement data be integrated into our own systems?

We discuss the options for integrating into your systems in a separate meeting, clarifying your requirements and technical feasibility.

### Which sensor variants and cable lengths are available?

WaterGuard uses a hydrostatic pressure capsule for tanks up to 3 metres deep. A 20-metre sensor cable is always included. Optional extensions of 20 or 50 metres are available.

### How can we request an OEM partnership?

Send us your enquiry via the contact form or by e-mail to contact@mycistern.com. For an initial discussion we need details about your company, the intended area of use and the planned number of units per year. Feel free to let us know which OEM option is of interest to you.
